Anyone using a computer on a regular basis has been confronted with the problem of spyware and adware. Generally, it is more of a nuisance than an actual danger to the safety of the personal information stored on the hard drive. But, with increasing instances of threats and viruses that can steal the data necessary for identity theft, or cause a computer to crash, it is paramount to have proper protection downloaded onto the hard drive. However, it is really sad to discover that some security programs require spyware advertizing removal adware.

For instance, attempting to safeguard my personal computer from those who would invade my privacy at the very least, or steal my identity, I downloaded a freeware version of a protective program slated to prevent this very problem. Unfortunately, the problems began within a minute or two of completing the process.

First, the software found an inordinate number of threats and viruses on my hard drive. In fact, if my computer is truly invaded to that degree, it would have crashed a long time ago. Naturally, I recognized a scam in the making, when messages suggesting I purchase the full version in order to eradicate my severe problem. So, I immediately follow recommended procedure to delete the program.

Unfortunately, not all programs go away with the windows uninstall program. Soon, pop up messages kept suggesting my computer’s vulnerability and the desperate need to purchase the entire version of this virtually lifesaving software. Instead of successful scare tactics and my immediate expenditure for this awesome program, I restored my computer to a point before the original download.

Next, to ensure I really received spyware advertizing removal adware software, and not some scam for my money, I selected a program having a number one rating and the reviews to match. Spyware Doctor has a free version adequate for my needs. However, it also has professional versions, with a more comprehensive protection package, for a reasonable fee. Thus, I can attest to a valuable less: Free is not always really free. Instead, take the time to search for the software with the reviews and recommendations to ensure the program is legitimate, and keep your computer secure.
